I had planned on seeing different parts of the country, but I liked this hotel, so I booked it again after having been somewhere else for four days. This time I am making the rating 10, because I was quite glad to be there. I really appreciated having a safe haven to retreat to, due to hilarious travel anxiety. For this I'm thankful. (Check out my other review for general details.) What made me come back was also the breakfast. At first had assumed it would be like "meh, hotel food", but it was fairly good. As someone on a paleo diet, it took a bit of selection, but they always had something I could eat. These were not just cheap ingredients either. It says it is a three star hotel here on booking.com, and two on the sign at the hotel entrance, but it felt like a luxury hotel that to me is perfectly competitive with any other place. When checking in, the lady asked me if I need towels every day. I said every second day is enough, but I'd like the water every day. I had assumed a preference like that would not "get through" in a big establishment like that, especially since it didn't really matter. It's more effort to execute a specific preference for one room number than to just give everyone the same bag of towels. But sure enough the second day there was a bag with only water at my door. While I didn't specifically care about this, it felt nice that a request like this was being heeded in a big logistical operation like that. It gave me a sense of being taken seriously, of the hotel bureaucracy not just being a wall that you can't affect. Although I felt a bit bad about it. I would have been fine with them saving energy and just giving me the towels every day, instead of the cleaning staff having to keep track of a special request for one room. There's plenty to do in he Bupyeong area, and central Seoul is only one (albeit long) train ride away. I liked the area.

Very clean. Though the room was small, the layout, design, and the big window with a great view made it feel sufficiently spacious. Because of the low price at such a great location (right next to the Bupyeong metro station with the Lotte mall and a good food court), I was worried that it would be a run-down place. Not at all. It is a 25+ story hotel with hundreds of rooms and all clean. The hotel totally blew me away. No frills, but everything that you would get at much more expensive 3 or 4 star hotels. I asked for an iron to press clothes and they gave me one. Parking is in the same building. It is a mechanical lift with an operator. You MUST contact the hotel and call the number they give to the operator to reserve it beforehand. You need to drive to the right and come around a long block to the left side of the building to get to the parking entry. Very cheap at just 5000 Won per day. Very good breakfast of the Korean kind. There were bread, buns, juice/coffee etc also, but I tried the Korean breakfast for a change - and actually liked it! Some rice and good protein items like fish cakes, bulgogi beef etc, plus eggs, some greens, salads and good soup. I had some of it with some bread and really enjoyed it. The items changed from day to day too. I could not believe that such good breakfast was included in that low price. The local police bureau is right next to the hotel, so it is certainly a safe place. I am sure to look for Toyoko Inns wherever I can find them, in the future!

The front desk staff is fluent in English. The breakfast was satisfying and there were great choices and variety, the only thing you were not allowed to take out. I see it as a delicious, huge, satisfying, and hearty meal for the day. I was very impressed by the staff's hospitality and friendliness. I was in awe of how the breakfast was very delicious each morning. The room staff supplied water daily and clean linens, ensuring you had a clean room. The staff went beyond to ensure visitors had a rewarding experience. The staff was very caring and courteous, from the front desk to every staff at the hotel, they treated everyone with care, I would use this hotel again for my second trip. This clean hotel supplies guests with nightgowns, tea, coffee, and bathroom essentials daily. This hotel exceeded my expectations comparing other hotels I had visited. There were many places to eat or dine very close, plus there is a shopping Mall very close, which is called the Bupyeong Mall, and transportation is very close, like 3 to 5 mins or even less. The location of the hotel exceeds my desires. There is even a Police Station or Precinct on the same block. The only thing I had to take the train to my conferences but nevertheless. I received assistance and directions when I needed to ask a question. Overall, my trip was awesome and by asking questions, there was always someone around that could communicate in English, especially the younger generations.

Breakfast was a simple selection: Korean light soup, rice, bananas, seaweed salad, shredded cabbage with dressing, stir fried meat, potato salad, toast, butter, jam. Machine coffee, orange juice. Spacious and bright dining room, bustling with people. Location is unbeatable, steps away from bupyeong station. The mall attached to the station has a large lottemart (supermarket), Muji, Uniqlo, daiso. The basement of the mall has some food options too. Walk a little bit (500m) to get to very popular eat/drink locations, filled with young Koreans even on week nights. There is also a seafood soup street that has shops that are open 24 hours. Closed luggages can go under the bed, smart and nifty. Bathrooms are very efficiently Japanese design, compact and clean.

3Cs- Clean, Comfortable, Convenient 😊. Staffs was super friendly & speak English and very helpful especially Bonnie & Lee Hee Jin. The staff greats every customer in and out with a smile regardless you checked in or checked out . Breakfast was ok but need to add more fruits and fresh bake sweet potatoes 😄. Lotte mall is juts next door and many nice food around the restaurant. I bought 🍠 Hot drink underground , it’s very nice and you can taste the sweet potatoes not the powder. So delicious and it’s cheap only less than $4 in the big Mug. I’d come stay here again. Money exchange is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel near post office . Recommended this hotel guys!!! Beautiful view from my room.
